Person that I admire

Daniel Matamala is a chilean journalist, he was born in Valdivia on May 24, 1978. He studied journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Between 2011 and 2012 he completed a Master of Arts at Columbia University.

From 2000 to 2011, Matamala worked on Canal 13, where he became known as the newsreader and the presenter of political and current affairs programs. He is currently known for his work in Chilevision and for his opinion columns.

What I like most about his work are his opinion columns that he publishes in La Tercera and uploads to his social networks. He frequently speaks in them about relevant topics of the week, mostly political. He has a way of writing that hooks you and leaves you wanting to read his next column, and I generally share his opinion on the topics he talks about.

One of his last opinion columns was "Traitor. Murderer. Terrorist. Thief. Coward." In it, he responds with facts to the declarations of the ultra-right constitutional adviser, Luis Silva, where he calls the dictator Pinochet a "statesman".
